Next in Turn Disappointment in Court Related to the Case of Ninotsminda Village

In 2009 July 10 at 11 o’clock a juridical session was held for a civil case N2/2842 dated 2009.06 (the demandant – the inhabitants of the villages: Ninotsminda, Tskarostavi and Gahgmaubani in Sagarejo district, the respondent Georgian – British oil company “Ninotsminda”).
The object of the argument was to recover moral and material losses to the sufferer. The lawyers of Ecological Law Centre defended the interests of the village dwellers (villages Ninotsminda, Tskarostavi and Gahgmaubani) – victims of ecological catastrophe. The judge didn’t take into account the fact that in the case the record of the session was falsified and according to satisfied motion about expertise, the demandant side must be given a decision and some time to perform the expertise. The judge offered the sides to withdraw the action and to bring in separate actions.
