Center of Environmental Law held a meeting with the population of Kaspi

On march 9 Center of Environmental Law held a meeting with the population of Kaspi. In the meeting participated: Shalva Ninidze - representative of HeidelbergCement-Caucasus, Dimitri Iordanashvili – chairman of the Economic Commission of Kaspi City Assembly; experts – Nugzar Buachidze and Giorgi Meladze, representatives of schools and media of Kaspi.

The meeting was held in an interesting atmosphere. There were discussed problems, that bother the population of Kaspi and were made decisions to solve them. Invited guests expressed their views on the problematic issues. They expressed full readiness to cooperate with population for solving existing problems. During the meeting there were considered that the main problems are: environmental contamination by companies; inadequate delivery of water and it’s unsatisfactory quality, that was confirmed by experts; and problems with canalization in the populated localityes of the King Mirian and Qecharukhi. Population and invited guests thanked Center of Environmental Law for this meeting, because it gave them a chance of discussing their problems with persons who have direct responsibility of  solving them.
